Any BSAC instructors on the board? I'd think i might like to get my BSAC instructors cert, as i really like the depth of knowledge BSAC go into on their courses.

The BSAC has, for a number of years,
recognised the qualifications of divers trained by
other agencies but not Instructor qualifications
other than CMAS. There can really be little
reason to question the validity of an existing
Diving Instructor qualification. Indeed the
majority of Instructors have been ASSESSED
not only in the classroom and the pool but also
on their teaching ability in the Open Water.
However; we do need to ensure that any
Instructors teaching the BSAC syllabus are
familiar with the system we use to train our
divers and Instructors. Consequently BSAC
Members, who hold Instructor qualifications
from other agencies can apply for the Instructor
Induction Programme, which will involve:
Being a Member of the BSAC through a
Branch
Attending an Instructor Foundation Course
(IFC)
Receiving the Induction pack including the
OWlC Student Notes
Logging 12 hours of Open Water Instruction subsequent to the lFC
