Is there a formal written exam for the PADI Rescue Diver course or will it be more like AOW with knowledge reviews and demonstration of skills?

There is a formal exam in which you must get 75% or higher. The bar gets higher with this cert and the rescue scenarios should challenge you. Go for it!

I found it to be quite demanding physically but a great confidence builder. Good luck.
