If I complete the training and CW dives is it possible to complete the certification when in Cozamel? I have a PADI course here in Rapid City SD but it's a bit cold in the winter for the OW part. Thanks.

Yup, just make sure you and your instructor fill out the Course Record and Referral Form (parts A and a portion of B) in the PADI Dive Log. Take that with you and do the OW dives down south - they'll fill out the rest.

Hi,

When you select your dive shop on Coz, you should contact them and be certain they know you are coming and that you want to do your OW.

Lots of dive outfits there will be delighted to cert you. You can contact most of them via the internet.

If you need a recommendation for a dive outfit there, please let me know.

Also, if you had any "Yes" on your medical form, make sure you bring a copy of the letter/form from your doctor. You will fill out all new paperwork when you arrive at your destination.

That's right, I forgot about that. We needed to bring our copies of our doctor's sign-off when we went south.
