Padi Membership

Is getting this padi membership for 30bucks worth it. I just got certified recently and they sent me a thing asking if i wanted to join. The only benifits i see are a magazine subscription and a free bag. Any insight would be appreciated.

Well you been certified by PADI, do not become certifiable, by spendng more of your money on useless affiliations.

Probably not....I get a free membership each year...I have gained nothing from it other than a 'travel' magizine to spots full of warm water-coral and little colorful critters,,,big deal.

The rag can be picked up at most magazine shops.

I got a $10 rebate on the knowledge workbook, and 15% off a couple of classes. Other than that, this will be the last year I renew. $29/yr is expensive for a magazine full of ads.

What you mean you don't want to read about more PADI 5 Star resosrts and dive shops???? How shocking.
