Four diving instructors and their classes were on a ferry that struck a rock and began sinking ....

The SSI instructor told his class;
"Inflate your BCs and surface locator sticks, jump off and wait for the Coast Guard"

The YMCA instructor told his class;
"You all had to swim 20 miles to qualify, the distance to the shore should be no problem, now jump in and swim!"

The NAUI instructor told his class;
"We are the first and the best and the greatest! Everyone grab a woman in one arm and a child in the other and swim them to shore!"

The PADI instructor said;
"Gear up and have a seat. There will be an extra charge of $50 each for this unscheduled wreck dive"

HA HA HA! Sounds about right.

Thanks, Danclem. Good one.

I'm diving in British Columbia at the moment and apparently there's an operator here who adds a surcharge if your dive exceeds sixty minutes.

The boys in Bonaire talked of a PADI Parasite Diver Specialty for those who suck off their buddy's octo.

We already have a PADI Dry Suit Zipper specialty.

He Brian:

Where in BC are you diving? We were up two weeks ago diving in Howe Sound off the Sea Dragon, based in Horseshoe Bay. Hope the viz is better than it was for us. First 20 feet was 5-10 feet.

I like the Zipper Specialty the warm water folks spoke about. Think I will look into it. The Parasite is too close to home.

Cheers,

Dan

I was in Nanaimo (HMCS Saskatchewan, Snake Island Wall) and also Tyee Beach up at Parksville. Viz was poor, yes, very soupy near the surface but opening up deep to at least 20 feet. Temps as high as 45, I think.
