I'm starting the Dive Master program this week.
Thanks for the study guide sticky! I'm sure there are some differences since when the study guide was first posted, but it provides a good outline.

I have been organizing local dive trips for the past couple of years, but have been wanting to take the DM course. Now I finally have the opportunity to do so.

Cheers,
Mitch

Good luck on the course. The physics is apparently nowhere as in depth as it was prior to 2010, so the study guide may be for prior to that time.

Thanks guys!
It figures I'd get the dummy version! Haha!

I'm excited about it. I'm looking forward to learning more.

Cheers,
Mitch

Have fun with the interning part. You're going to find out that all the DIR skills you have worked so hard to master are almost dysfunctional when herding students. Perfect trim doesn't let you watch them up into the water column, where they go -- and sometimes you're better off behind and above. It's an interesting transition and broadens your skill set, or at least I have found it so. And if you want a way to achieve Superman-like situational awareness, do OW Dive 1 with a group of students . . . You'll grow eyes in the back of your head, or wish you had!

Thanks Lynne,

You mean all of that GUE fabulousness goes out the window. ;)
I am really looking forward to the intern part of the experience. It must be like herding cats, and juggling cotton balls in a wind storm!! :D

Cheers,
Mitch
