I have about 18-20 rechargeable AA batteries for my camera and strobe and want to put them in my carryon. This should be ok, right??

Have a great time!!!!

Thanks!!!! I can't believe it's finally almost time to go. I've been anticipating for so long!! I hope we have nice weather. I was reading yesterday that someone who had been to lots of places and seen lots of pretty beaches said that west bay beach beat them all. I can't wait to experience the beauty of roatan and it's people. I'll report back!

I brought a bunch with (carry on) and didn't have any problem either.

There are new regulations regarding traveling with Li batteries, but I believe nothing re alkaline.

I have never had any trouble bringing batteries INTO Roatan however, the security people get a little weirded out when you leave the Island and they hand inspect luggage. I had them try to take a bulk pack of misc batteries, they said the little 9 volts were no allowed and were planning on keeping the whole package.

What are the rules about Li batteries? I think a few of mine are Li.
Li batteries for the cameras must be capped with plastic, or kept in small sandwich bags each. Do not put Li batteries loose into your bag.

Also a good idea to be sure that they are NOT still in your flashlights, etc.
Rechargeable batteries (and charger) are an excellent gift for your DM....

Also, when I go to Honduras, I pack a deflated soccer ball and small pump/needle. I then inflate and give it to some of the local kids there. I would like to think it leaves an impact on them but it does a lot more for me....
