I have the option of going with either size. It's been suggested to go with the 45 as it's more flexible for future use with steel tanks, carrying more weight, etc. They're both very close in size inflated, so streamline issues won't be too much of a problem. I'm diving single tank aluminum for now, drysuit, 36#'s of weight. Please let me know what you recommend. Thanks.

For diving around here, I prefer the 45# ... as you noted, the size is about the same, and the extra lift can come in handy if the wind's kicking up waves on those surface swims.

What if I take my rig south? If i'm diving warm waters will this be way too much?

Nope, that's an Oxycheq 45 pictured in my avatar ... taken in Bonaire.

Used mine in Coz and Kona.

Very nice...

I've got a 45# that provides a lot of versatility. I dive it in all types of environments, wet and dry. That's a 45 in my avatar in a 3mm in Florida. I don't think the size difference between the 45 and 30 are significant enough to make much of a difference. As for moving to steels in the future, if it's steel doubles, you'll need to get a different wing. Oxycheq makes doubles wings - 55# and 70#.
