Do people get both the overlay and the butt\knee pads for extra resilience?

Is that even an option?

Is it overkill?

I would get them both if you can

Hi,

I think that would depend on the type of diving that you do. The overlays are part of the drysuit model. The pads are placed on top of the overlays. Pads will add weight, increase dry time, etc.,. If your activities include spending a lot of time going over rocks with your behind I would highly suggest getting them. On the other hand, if you don't do or plan doing this, I would leave them off.

Hopefully other DOGs (DUI Owners Group) will see this post and give you their feedback.

Thanks for the question.

Kathy
