Are there any other small sized barrel poppet type second stages other than the Aqualung Mikron or Apeks Flight?
The Mikron is on sale but I don't want to but the first stage since it is not environmentalized. I just want a used second I can attach to an Aeris CDX-5 first. I service my own regs and have a handful of other first stages I could use already.
Thanks,
T

FWIW The XL4 is basically the same design as the flight in a different dress and of course now uses a standard hose not those silly proprietary ones found on the flight.

Zeagle F8 redesigned and manufactured by Atomic. I (long time Zeagle and HOG user) was skeptical, but now love them.

Hey, that is the best price for a Mikron octo I have seen at $135. They called it a closeout likely, I suspect, for pending cosmetic changes. I will order that up and troll for used XL4 and F8 seconds.
Thanks everyone.

I'd be very interested to learn more about what you were skeptical about and what you inevitably like about the F8. I've been considering getting either the F8 or Apeks XTX50 and have seen very little information on the F8.

I was skeptical that the F8 second stage "makeover" might be an ego-driven, unnecessary, vanity "exercise" by the new manufacturer.

I found an unused (Atomic/Zeagle 2nd stage on closeout-sale for $100.00, tried it, liked it, and immediately bought the other one.

Things I like about Zeagle:

Available almost everywhere in USA

I also like the replaceable orifice that comes with the 1st stage parts kit.... If you gouge the hard orifice in the Apeks 1st you're kind of screwed.
