Ordering a PADI manual

Hi. For those of you who may not have seen my intro post, I am heading to Israel next week and planning on getting my OW certification in Eilat while I am there. A friend (here) suggested that I get the PADI OW Manual before I go, so that I can read it on the plane, and because it will probably be cheaper here. How do I get one? I did not see a way to order it directly from PADI. Is there anything else I should here before I go?

Also you should get the manual with the course. It is now mandatory for all students to be given it as part of the course.

Do you know when this happened? I just signed up for a PADI OW course last month (to be taken on July 10th), and I had to purchase all the course material. It wasn't cheap either. For both my fiancee and I, the cost of material for the PADI National Geographic OW cert was over $300 for both of us. But then, the course (PADI National Geographic OW)was only $200 per person. Not a bad price for 6 classroom/pool meeting, one day of lake dive, and two days of ocean dive.

where in nyc are you..we are located on city island bronx ny and can sell you crewpack and the video dvd both of which will be needed for training..call 718 885 1588..I'll be in store on wednesday after 1 pm..

true it is required for students to own a personal copy of text so knowledge reviews can be collected ,reviewed and filed by instructor..it is not usually included as the cost of the course,but something you must purchase to participate..
