Has anyone done this or know if it’s safe? I’m on a dive trip in the Keys and have the proper 21700 batteries for it at home. I’ve got an OrcaTorch 21700 battery with me I could use but I know they have to be protected, as well as able to handle a certain amount of continous drain. I did some research and I know it’s a protected battery and I think it can handle the continous drain but couldn’t find any solid info on it. I want to use it in the morning but not bad enough to mess up my strobe, any help is appreciated!

The MF-2 asks for a high-draw battery, with more demanding specs than a torch requires. The MF-2 spec 5300 Mah Nitecore battery will definitely work in a flashlight. The reverse may not be true. Worst case is the MF-2 just won't work properly. Buy more nitecore batteries.

Thanks, I have batteries at home but couldn’t find nightcore batteries here in the keys. I don’t mind if the OrcaTorch battery won’t keep up as long as it won’t damage my strobe
