For a couple of years, I had seen friends (both recreational and technical/cave divers) move to Orca Torch lights. A couple of weeks ago, Orca Torch sent me a D710 to evaluate. It is very compact, has multiple power settings with a maximum of 3000 lumens output, and has a nice narrow beam. I was able to get it in the water last week at the Dive Talk Cozumel Meet Up. It was a really great light and perfect to carry on a recreational BC to look into all of the nooks and crannies on the reef. It helped me to spot several splendid toadfish during the week. I'm teaching a couple of cave diving classes over the next couple of weeks and look forward to seeing how it performs as a back up light. Stay tuned.......
