I am on a flight to Cancun Nov 8. Non refundable ticket. If Coz is not ready for us, then Akumal is an option or Tulum. Even a drive down to Belize. I've been on web sites for Tulum and Akumal and they did not get hit that bad. Dammage was repairable quickly and they have electric. Most hotels are open or will be Nov. 1 Some hotels offer pickup at Cancun airport and though its not open yet they say they can get there already, and have brought some of their guest back to cancun to get a flight when it does open. So if your like me with non-refundable tickets or can't change your vacation dates you still have options if Coz is not turist ready.
I may just go to Coz and stay at a friends house and help with the clean up if the gov. lets me.
