Operator-el Acuaro Divers

Once more I plead for local knowledge. I'm all but "in the boat" on my latest travel plan. Those sweet, sweet deals from JapanYahooTravel are just too good to pass up. I'm currently looking into an all-inclusive deal that features the operator named above: el Acuaro Divers, Cebu.
Can anyone give feedback, good or bad, about them? I'd really, really appreciate it.

Ah...this is so, ne? They are a Japanese shop, however I see that they have some Phillipino dive masters. Just thought to ask. You can learn more about them at the end of September when I regale you with my post-Cebu dive report. Thanks for stopping by, though. I appreciate it.

Rik, so did you decide that you'll just hang out on Mactan? Should be some OK diving around there but I think the consensus is you should try to head out to Bohol. Nicer white beaches and better diving. The beaches on Mactan aren't so good. But if you need a nice modern hotel, then that's the place to be...

GF is selecting the hotel on this one (she's a bit picky), but to tell the truth, I don't MIND her choice so much. I've heard great things about Bohol but she doesn't like long boat rides either. Two hours I believe? She got an inclusive deal and they'll take us boat diving to some of the places around Maktan (about 20 minutes away) including a wildlife refuge. I have another trip, solo, in the planning stage for December which I was holding off on asking info for, but I'll go ahead and post that now. Thanks for the input.

Bohol would have been very nice (and cheaper!) but you'll have a lot of dive sites to choose from around Mactan...hilutangan, nalusuan, hadsan,... Around 2pm everyday in Hilutangan the school of jacks feed on the bolinao (in case you want to watch). Look at these previous threads on Cebu to get more info. Have fun!
