Want to increase your business? Don't mind working with an independent instructor? Want to work with one who teaches to some of the highest standards in the industry today? Scuba Educators International Instructors teach to that level. Many are independent instructors who do not sell gear, have shops, compressors, or pools in their backyard. As such we need dive shops to sell equipment to our students, rent pool time and perhaps classroom space to us, and of course get air fills. You need customers.

SEI Diving classes average 6-8 weeks in length. That is 6-8 times ( or more if we use a classroom as well) that they will be in your shop, looking at your gear, seeing what you sell, even using it in the pool, and getting familiar with you. That can easily translate into sales. Sales that you may not have gotten otherwise.

We would be certifying through SEI Diving and providing classroom materials to our students from our program. You would get rental income and sales for simply being there. We do the work of educating students. You sell them gear. It is a win win for everyone especially the students. They get a quality education at a full service shop where they can buy and rent their gear. They will also come back to you for air fills and perhaps more sales.

If you would be willing to work with an SEI Diving Instructor please let me know or post a message in the SEI Diving forum. The industry today as we all know is hurting. We need to work together to stay above water. This is one way of doing that. Thanks,

Jim,
I would agree with you 100% that we all need to work together to build a better industry! I would welcome building a professional relationship with any of your SEI instructors. If any are in the Phoenix area feel free to have them get in touch with me.

Just a bump on this thread. New Year and new students to train for many of us. New students who may also need to purchase gear, instructors wanting to rent classroom or pool time, and students who after certification may book a trip with your shop. So if you are looking for more business post in the SEI Forum or here and I'll pass it on.

We are still around and growing steadily. The shop I work with does very well working not only with me but with 6 instructors from 3 different agencies. He has a customer base now that he would not have had otherwise.
