Only have time for 1 more dive...Kittiwake or night dive?

Recently got certified in Belize(Glovers Reef) in January. Going to Cayman soon, and I booked some wall dives on the East Side for 3 days, as we stay on Northside of island. But we're only on island for 9 days and I really might have the time to do only 1 more dive. I have never done a night dive or a wreck dive. Question is if I had to choose one, which one would you choose. With the Kittiwake being so new, I was just curious if people were in my shoes, which they would pick. I am leaning toward the night dive.

I would rather to one night dive then dive a recently sunk wreck a hundred times. Night diving is a fantastic experience particularly in a place like Cayman. Sundivers and Divetech both offer escorted shore night dives and virtually any operator will have organized boat night dives in their schedule. I prefer going from shore as it is easy to orient yourself along the miniwall and there are lots of interesting critters in the shallows. I plan to dive the Kittiwake dive in a few years when the wreck becomes populated and encrusted.

If I had an option I would take a night dive to any other dive. A lot of animals come out at night.

I didn't realize that Sundivers did guided dives. That sounds really really cool. My brother and father did the mini wall there and loved it a few years ago.
The girls and my son can have dinner and drinks up at the bar, while I dive.
Any idea when Sundivers does their night dives? I cant find a website for them.

If it were me, I'd night dive. The Kittiwake is an interesting dive if you've never been on a wreck, but it's still very new and not overly populated with fish life. Having said that, there IS life there, and you never know what will come cruising through (think eagle rays). For my money, night dives are pretty spectacular in Cayman. Seeing the reef change over is wonderful, and seeing it in all its color is amazing, especially for first timers. Nothing hard about a night dive in Cayman either. Lots of moonlight, and lots of space, whether you shore dive or boat dive it. The company I work for will shore dive it any night you like, so long as you let us know. Just about everyone else goes out now and again as well, so lots of choice. Whichever you do, enjoy!!! I'm off to night dive in about two hours!!!

Olin Miller is somewhat old fashioned. I guess a website is not his style. The Dive School on the premises, Happy Fish, does heve a website.

As to what nights they do a guided dive, don't know. Olin will leave tanks out for you any night for an unescorted dive as long as you arrange it with him earlier in the day.

Thank you very much everyone for the info. Im definitely doing the night dive, possibly 2 but that might require some jewelry for the wife. I think it might be the Divetech guided on Monday night. I will call Sundivers though first before I book anything.
