Hi Scuba Board community,

I'm not a diver myself, but a few of my friends went first time scuba diving a few months ago. They took some pictures and were looking for an online service that can auto-correct colors, but couldn't find any.

The startup I'm a cofounder in develops an online tool for image and video enhancement, and my friends gave us the idea to implement an underwater color correction feature.

Fast forward a bit, we have released the Beta version of the Underwater CC tool. I see the Dive+ is the most used app for underwater color correction, but it is limited to mobile devices. Our tool is 100% online and is also mobile/tablet friendly.

We would love to hear feedback from this community because the product is still very early stage and we would like to develop it further if that's something underwater photographers would use.

After you open an account, you get to process 5 images for free. This is the general limitation we have, but feel free to reach out to me here if you need more credits for testing.

I have attached some before/after examples. The plane is at 10m depth, and others are at around 17m.

Interesting. I’ll check it out the next time I have images to correct. That should be next week as I’m diving this weekend.

Will your tool auto correct video or just images for now?

We are currently limited to images but are keeping the video option open. Our main concern is with the color correction quality. If the quality feedback is positive for images, that will be a good sign and we'll start considering implementing video support.

Incredibly slow and the watermark makes the pic unusable. At least Dive+ watermark is small and at the angle and also puts the author name.
