Hello all!
I am an American living in Amsterdam, NL. I currently find myself on holiday in Croatia with way too much time on my hands and loving it. This seems to be just the opportunity I have been waiting for to fulfill a long-time dream of becoming SCUBA certified. Now that my decision is made to go ahead, my current task (step 2) is locating a reputable dive center on the Istrian Peninsula. I have spoken with Dalibor Šolar of the 2 brother team of Dalibor and Nikola Šolar at ZEUS FABER Dive Center in Lanterna, Poreč, Croatia. All of their classes are private 1 on 1 instruction. Their certification course is a PADI certification which I understand is the most widely recognized organization in the field. I also understand from extensive reading of posts here and elsewhere that this is not the most important thing and should take a backseat to a finding a solid, patient, experienced and knowledgeable instructor. I am having a hard time finding any reviews on them through google and I wonder if anyone can help? Likewise, if anyone strongly recommends a dive center anywhere on the Istrian Peninsula I would love to explore all my options.

Happy to be here and I can't wait to share my future experiences with you all!

Thank you,

Lazer
