Hello everyone! I have been out of the diving world for a little while, and would like to get back into it. My first step, reconnecting with divers. Next may be a refresher course and finding a buddy or two to dive with. My kids arent quite old enough to get their cert, but when they are I want to be ready. I will probably be on this site running through posts, articles and checking out links. I have forgotten much so I want to get my head back into it, not really for hard core stuff, I have always been in it to sight see (and maybe a lobster or two).

Welcome to SB and back to the water, I was out for a few years myself and just getting back. You will be amazed at how fast it all comes back to you. I tagged along with a ow class and it all came back as soon as my head got underwater, I would suggest doing a refresher pool course, then tag along to a site like blue heron bridge which is a nice easy dive 1st dive back.

I remember my first drift dive. It was out of the park at the Blue Heron Bridge, but took us up to Jupiter on our second dive of the day. It was a beautiful reef, but I know the "beach replenishment" just about burries the reef every time they do it. When the reef recovers it may be a good place to jump in. Another idea for a "first dive back" in Jupiter, may just be Pecks Lake, simple but interesting and from an anchor line I may be able to keep my bearings a little better. That one, however; is more of a "personal vessel dive" and since the boat went with the divorce, I would need to commendeer a boat from another boater/diver friend. Hmmmm, I know someone in the Lady GaDivers........
