ya i dunno it seemed more nice to have but yet i have not tryed anything smaller so i dont know how the feels like

i have a oms stainless backplate and comfort harness with a #100 wing
(yes i know its large and overkill and dont wanna hear about i haha) i have used it i think on 4 dives so far with my AL80s
and i like it very much i am planning to start diving doubles
i not have a set of 104's cant wait to try them
oh and the wing is bungied

I went with OMS the comfort Harness and stainless steel backplate :) cant wait to get it hopefully it holds up. now anyone have any reviews on the wing or should i go with a different wing? prob not bungied but maybe.. i like them

Similar set-up to mine, except I have the Oxycheq 30# wing. Will get the #45 in a couple of months. I would've gone with OMS wings, but once again, they were in back-order (sounds familiar) for about 2 months... Can't go wrong either way. Have fun!

Excellent gear, my 45# bungied wing performs as expected, and it's bullet proof in my opinion, no issues with water inside the bladder here, I replaced the standard 16" corrugated hose with a 22" and surgical tubed the inflator to the chest ring of the deluxe harness.
I never liked raising the corrugated hose to dump, I prefer pulling the rapid dump on the corrugated hose (a habit from my jacket style BCs days), so I replaced the elbow with a DR pull dump and extended the SS cable for the 22" hose.
The bungies can be adjusted as needed and have lasted more than 100 dives.

The harness is a matter of opinion but I believe it will perform well for many yrs.

The BP is just like mine, a big piece of metal that won't rust. The OMS newer design have cam straps slots to facilitate the elimination of a STA and another 2" slot for the 2" crotch strap if desired. Other than that, the OMS plate has more attachement points than anyone out there, not a big deal, but nice to have.

only prob i had with getting water in my OMS wing is i was tryin to see if i needed any weight... so i dove with just the 4/3mm wetsuit b/p and wing and an AL 80
i think me holding up the inflator when emptying the air allowed water to get in

60 bungee single OMS SHWWWEEET! superb balance and you can reconfigure the inflator hose to the back by swapping it with the top dump valve. There are some good deals online too.

Where are you guys getting these 60lb single bladders from? I have never heard of one nor seen one, and it's not even listed on the site.

Part Number BC116-60B without bungies or BC117 - K60 if bungies are your thing. I found it on the website no problem.

AH those! yeah but those are not *single* tank wings, rather *single* bladder wings....perhaps I just misread

I have the 32# OMS wing for single tank diving...VERY durable material and has served me well for > 100 dives. I don't know if they make a bungeed version for single tank diving, but you certaintly don't need one and there's a number of reasons why you don't want one. Anyway, although I like this wing very much, if I had to get another I'd probably go with an OXYCHEQ, as the inflator seems a bit long in the OMS. Also, I've noticed that after every dive there's a fair amount of water to dump from the bladder...this isn't a leak but apparently enters when I'm at my safety stop and have dumped all the air out. I made several dives with a 50# OXYCHEQ and doubles this last sumer and didn't notice an issue with water. It was a bit lighter too.

The OMS BP is great, no complaints there. If you do look into the OXYCHEQ, note there are 2 versions: the regular and signature series...the latter differs from the former in having gold-colored stitching and a thicker inner bladder.

Good luck,

Dave

That's strange since both OMS and OXYXHEQ are made by the same manufacturer.
