I went with OMS the comfort Harness and stainless steel backplate :) cant wait to get it hopefully it holds up. now anyone have any reviews on the wing or should i go with a different wing? prob not bungied but maybe.. i like them

Personally, I have both bungies and unbungied they both work. I probably like the bungied better. I think that you would likely be fine with either. Depends if you use a single tank too. Then select an appropriate size . Good quality pays.

Hi,
OMS is good for tech dive equipment, I love OMS BC.... You look for single or double cylinders?

im going with singles for half the summer then learn about doubles im pretty new to diving.. wanting to get towards wreck and cave diving :) i want to get into doubles this summer i dont know if i have to take a course or not.. looks pretty simple 2 me lots more weight though and some extra gear.

I have the 32# OMS wing for single tank diving...VERY durable material and has served me well for > 100 dives. I don't know if they make a bungeed version for single tank diving, but you certaintly don't need one and there's a number of reasons why you don't want one. Anyway, although I like this wing very much, if I had to get another I'd probably go with an OXYCHEQ, as the inflator seems a bit long in the OMS. Also, I've noticed that after every dive there's a fair amount of water to dump from the bladder...this isn't a leak but apparently enters when I'm at my safety stop and have dumped all the air out. I made several dives with a 50# OXYCHEQ and doubles this last sumer and didn't notice an issue with water. It was a bit lighter too.

The OMS BP is great, no complaints there. If you do look into the OXYCHEQ, note there are 2 versions: the regular and signature series...the latter differs from the former in having gold-colored stitching and a thicker inner bladder.

Good luck,

Dave

I have the OMS SS backplate and the (non-bungee) 60# wing. I think they are both great, and I'm planning on getting a single tank wing and AL backplate from them as well.

The material is quite tough and durable. I think the most common complaint is that the hose is too long, but if it really bothers you, you can get a shorter one.

thanks ya i tryed the oms rig i liked the longer hose ill be get the 60# wing for doubles and then i dunno like a smaller wing when i want to dive singles :) thanks guys oms looks great

I shortened my hoses as well. You can't just cut them, you have to get shorter ones.

ya i know i like the longer hose it fits me better
