Looking to replace my Deep Sea Supply and the wife’s Halcyon wings. The one on sale is a 27 or 32. 20-30 warm water dives per year with an occasional 7 mil so cal dive with steel or AL tanks depending on what is available

Thoughts on this wing good or bad? 27 or 32 given the above dives?

I don’t know anything about the deep sea supply wing, but why replace the Halcyon one? it’s arguably some of the best out there

I've dived an OMS 32 for years with everything except drysuit, where's your link, wadda you wanna know

The canvas has worn thru from rubbing on the plate and when we sent back to halcyon they said it cannot be repaired. The wing is about 20 years old

OMS is a great company and their wings are well built.

Yes, indeed. They make top notch equipment.

I have been diving an OMS 32lb single-tank wing since 2019. And I have dived it with a drysuit, an 8mm semi-dry wetsuit, a 3mm wetsuit, and just a t-shirt. I do not find that the 32lb wing creates drag / "taco effect" when using thinner exposure gear, or no exposure gear at all. It's a great product

I recently scored a second-hand 32lb wing that has only been dived a few times, for half price. I intend to give it to a new diver friend, or use it myself if my original one fails before I give it away

As for 27lb versus 32lb, I honestly don't think that it matters very much. I'm kind of surprised that OMS even produces two separate products here. Cheers

Thanks for the input. Was also surprised there were two so close together and glad to hear that the small increase does not have any noticeable impact

Have been diving a OMS 27lbs wing for many yr and it is well built.
I did replace the pull dump with a plain elbow.

Thanks. Pulled the trigger. I have never used a pull dump in all my years diving, and wouldn't start now. Is the replacement needed or can I just use the inflator hose like always?
