my first time on this ...i need some help..I just came from a new shop cause the shop closest to me is very rude..and couldnt get a straight answer from them if i paid them
i'm going to take my training to the tech level and some people are telling me that oms/w bungie bands are a bad idea due to possibilities of snag..and i'll be honest i dont know a whole lot about either..can anyone help??

You cannot go wrong with Halcyon. OMS's customer support is legendary for being sub-par. In addition, Halcyon's product line and innovation is second to none IMO.

Depends on which kit!

I guess it's regarding BCs, in which case I'd say Halcyon is quite a bit above the newer OMS stuff - although I'd recommend Dive Rite :)

Sadly there is no such thing as a good BC for both rec and tech, unless its for warm water then I'd recommend a razor sidemount harness for both! Generally BCs are designed for either single tanks or doubles, a few exist for both but you'll generally end up with a BC that can be used for, but is substandard, for both single and doubles.

If you go with a standard BP set-up it's only the additional wing you'll need to buy if you want to use twin tanks.

I dive the Halcyon Eclipse set-up and also have the doubles wing which have not used yet. Its great Bp/W. Halcyon customer service goes beyond most others. If there is an issue you call them and they fix it. I have never used OMS but have seen them in a few shops and they look nice but have not really heard either way about them.
