Can anyone tell me about these regs...Good, Bad, or indifferent? Gonna be used 90-150fsw air and nitrox. Thanks guys, bell47.

You can get the same first stage from 123scuba.com for a lot less money. The listed price is $79.00 and IIRC they have a special deal for scubaboard members. They also have service parts. The second stage is available as an octo from leisurepro for about the same price. It is similar, if not identical to the dive rite rg2500 second stage. I put a this combo together for singles for less than $150.00. It has served me well thus far as a back-up reg....

What is your motivation to select this specific regulator?

I would prefer a balanced second stage which if I recall correctly the R250 isn't. Might be a nice backup reg but there are better ones out there (Like the scubapro R395).

Also consider how and where and at which costs you can get it serviced.

P.S. I don't see myself diving to 150 fsw on air and nitrox. But perhaps it's because I am sensitive to high pO2 and pN2

POX generic with different cover and ring. Fragile second cracks where the workings fit into the body. Bathtub reg.
