So, I understand this subject may see a bit cliche' but I am looking to purchase a back plate/wing setup or a soft harness (Trans Pac or IQ backpack). As far as the harness go, if anyone out there has used both, I'd love to hear your opinions on these two. As far as the IQ goes, will the backplate from Hammerheadscuba or any of the other plates fit inside? My local shop is a dealer for both but would have to order the IQ, something I am a little skeptical in doing without "seeing" it first... so any info or pic's you can provide of your rigs will help a bunch. Thanks

I tried the Diverite Trans PLATE in a pool, which is basically a backplate with nice harness. I thought Id hate a bp/w setup but to the contrary, im hooked. So much so that id be willing to pay the $400 more than what I originally had thought about. Im going to get the plate/tank stabilizer from hammerhead, the transplate harness from my lds, and then go with a wing from the internet. I think this will give me the most bang for my buck while still supporting my lds and getting exactly what I want.

hmmm... why not just buy a bp/wings? they are much more streamlined, and it
doesn't get any more comfortable or adjustable than the bp and webbing (harness).

i would suggest the bp/wing combo anyday

I love my OMS IQ pack...the hammerhead back plate fits it great! Never dove the Transpack, but it looks nice too. My little brother uses a backplate/wing combo, and it's nice also...so either way you can't go wrong!
