Im looking to purchase my first BP/wing set up. I got a chance to see all the diffrent choices at Beneath the sea last week. I really liked the OMS comfort harness II set up. Im diving al80's right now, and will soon be upgrading to steel 100's. OMS only offers a "single tank" wing in 32lb lift. Im thinking that 32lbs. is not enough lift. My question is will the OMS 45lb banded wing work well with the single tank, or is it only used for doubles?

I have the 60lb wing with the IQ pac and love it. I have used it happily with singles, single & pony, twins and side slung stages. The 45 lb should be fine for all these things aswell. The retraction bands keep everything neat and stop the "bat wing" you get with other wings when used with singles, yet has plenty of lift. I only went for the 60lb over the 45lb as my local LDS had one which had been in the shop window for a while and was a bit faded, so they offered a good discount, saved about $100 over the new price of the 45 ;)

Dont listen to the DIR types who will tell you that a bungied wing is the work of the devil. I've done over 150 dives with mine and never had any problems, I have never heard of anyone who actually dives an OMS wing every having had a problem with the bands either.
