Good evening,

I just bought an OMD EM1 Mark3 with the 12-40 2.8pro lens as an used system.
We mainly bought this setup for pictures on land.

As I am diving in lakes as well I asume an aluminium housing with vacuum system would be an must-have.

I currently have no feeling about the amount of money I need to spend to buy an used housing / tray / strobes to be able to bring the camera unterwater.
We are flying to Indonesia in July - I thought about searching for an good offer before - but If it would be to expensive I will just dive with my gopro and enjoy diving without taking pictures ;)

What would be your suggestion for a good price / value system?

Best regards
Daniel

I dive a bunch and am using an AOI housing for the OM-1. No need for aluminum but a vacuum system is very important.
The AOI housing for the OM-1 III is discontinued. Ikelite is available ($1200 no ports) and Isotta ($2200 no ports). Nauticam is also discontinued. There are a bunch of plastic housing from china for that exact system ($550 on eBay, similar to SeaFrogs). A used Nauticam with ports will be $3K.

Ok Thanks for your reply - so if someone Wants to Sell a housing for that Camera / Lens combination feel free to send a DM.
Do you have any link to the chinese Seafrog similar housings? Would it be to risky to use them for the expensive Camera ?

You can see it on eBay, the issue is that it doesn't look like it will allow for fiber flash triggering.

I have a bunch of friends who use sea frogs. Never had too much issue with them, but you will still need a tray and strobe.

I would post a want to buy listing in the photography classifieds. You may want to keep an eye on E-bay as well.
