With my Olympus PT-059 housing, the built in flash would trigger the strobe (via fiber optic cable) on 1/64.
I could not get the camera to trigger the strobe till I set it to fill-in flash.

I'm guessing 1/64 isn't bright enough on the the Ikelite?

Any reason?

Its not a huge issue, but I think recycle times with 1/64 are faster than fill-in.

For quite some time I had issues triggering the strobe with the PT-058 and the M52 Air lens flash adaptor, using an official Olympus fibre optics cable.

I see the Ikelite strobe ports rely on a mirror, just like the flash adaptor that comes with the Air lens. In my case it was all down to getting a better cable with more optical section.

Maybe a better cable will solve your issues... I am now using the Sea&Sea cable and everything works for me.
