I just bought a used Olympus sp-350 and fl-20 flash. IÃÎ thinking about making the housings for both, but IÃÎ a little confused about the cables and connectors that I need. IÃÎ assuming that I need a bulkhead connector for both the camera housing and the flash housing and a cable to connect them. Do I also need a short cable to go between the camera and the bulkhead connector and the same for the flash housing, or is this part of the bulkhead connector? Also are there any convenient sources for the cables and connectors?

Thanks for the info.
I don’t think I will be buying the housings, as they are discontinued. If I come across a used one I will consider it. I have a question on the hot shoe cable listed on the Olympus site. Is the PHCB-01 used both in the camera and flash housings? If so, then the only thing I think I will need is the bulkhead connectors.
I know this isn’t a DIY forum, but I was hoping to get a basic idea of what cables and connectors I need for an SP-350 set up, and then look for a way to put it all together. So any help from current users is much appreciated.

I can't say enough good things about my Ikelite housing and DS-125 strobe fired through the SP-350- hotshoe.

Plug and play. easy as a credit card away for a purchase.

SteveC,

There are 2 cables used to connect the strobe. One fits between the strobe and camera housing, the other one connects the camera housing bulkhead to the hotshoe. These are included with the fl 20 housing when you purchase it.

I checked the Ikelite web site and they have apparently stop carrying this housing also.

I checked the Olympus web site, and they no longer carry the flash housing, but they do have the hot shoe cable and the main cable that connects the two housings, but not the cable that connects the flash to the bulkhead. IÃÎ sure all this comes with the housing if it could be bought, but that doesnÃÕ seem to be possible. IÃÍl keep an eye on the used market, but I would rather buy the cables and make the housings.
Again, I appreciate everyoneÃÔ help.
