Hey Guys,

I'm thinking of picking up one of these systems and was wondering if there are macro lenses that I can use with the stock port.

I don't want to get those add-on ports since that will just drive the price higher and it would make more sense for me to house a rebel.

TIA!

Yes, there is an Olympus macro adapter that clips on the port ($50), which takes M67 wet macro lenses like the Inon UCL 165 m67 ($170). Gives you +6 diopter magnification.

You may find it much easier to use the stock lens and crop down, because with the extreme magnification comes very shallow depth of field. This is hard to deal with underwater with current causing you and the subject to be moving. Just saying, try the stock lens first.

Hey Slowhands,

Thanks for the reply. Yup, that is definitely how I'm going to start with the set.

I'm currently using a g10 with the inon diopter and I felt like it was limiting me within a few months of use. I went ahead and housed my canon DSLR. The whole set takes great pictures but is a PITA to travel with.

That is where the Oly set comes in. It looks like a lightweight enough set that would be a great replacement to my g10. If in the future I do decide to upgrade, I'm hoping that I can use the Panny Macro lens without spending another $500 on ports.
