While waiting for my new OM-D rig, I took the old E-330 out to some dive sites off of Redondo Beach, CA. Here are a few of my images.

Feeling crabby?

nice pics!!
i just had a look at the e 620.
in switzerland i could get one with the kit lens for 1000 sfr and the oly housing are not expensive. i do own already the inon evolt ports for macro and wa.

so i dont know if i should go for the omd in a nauticam housing or the e-620 becouse i just need to buy the 3/4 8mm lens ,cam, and housing.

decision decision

The Olympus E-series cameras and lenses are wonderful. I've been very happy with the E-330 but I'm buying an OM-D and Nauticam housing in an effort to downsize my underwater gear. The OM-D and micro 4/3s lenses are half the size and weight.

Not to get off the topic of Jlyle's great SoCal images but to Sail Rock be aware of the following.

The new Olympus housing for the OMD E-M5 has an optional adaptor will be sold to allow the use of any of the threaded ports from Athena, Inon, Olympus and others that fit the Nexus, Olympus and SeaTool housings for Olympus DSLR's.

Some 4/3 lenses will also work in these ports although you will need the somewhat SLOW focusing 4/3 to M4/3 lens adaptor. I don't think Nauticam plans to support the 4/3 style ports with an adapter.

To echo Phil, the 4/3 lenses do not work well with the OM-D plus the 4/3 to micro4/3 lens adapter. In fact, they work so poorly, I recommend you not buy the adapter.

Beautiful set of pics Jim.
You must have had a 'big' day out to secure so many wonderful images from the one day. . .
I might come and join you?

Yes, the above shots were taken with the Zuiko 50mm f2 macro lens. On the E-series cameras, autofocus is fast. Unfortunately, with the 4/3 to micro 4/3 adapter, autofocus is very slow and choppy. IMHO, you should stick to micro 4/3 lenses with the OM-D. [Above water, on a tripod, using manual focus is an exception.]
