I'm looking to upgrade from my cannon a570. And i'm not sure which to get. I can get the Olympus camera brand new for $240. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The 1030 is a lot better camera than the Sealifes, which are maybe a Ricoh with a bit of software. Plastic lenses and the like. The 1030 is discontinued and the last PT-043s have been made, so if you want this combo, you'd better act quickly. The newer T-8000/PT-045 is a nice combo, it might be worth it to buy the newer lineip.

The first thing I would ask is what are you overall intentions for the camera use? Diving or on land and which would you use it most for.

Then consider the costs to add all the accessories you will need for diving, strobe, lens, etc.

Then finally consider warranty handling. When buying seperate components from various manufacturers or at different times, they are not handled as a package and each will have to be sent to different locations for service/warranty.

Just some food for thought.
