I'm a Fish!
Hello, I am in the market for a new camera - excellent for underwater and above water. This will be my one and only camera for anywhere.

I am looking to buy Olympus 1000 with Ikelite 6138.81 underwater housing - but I wanted to hear your opinions about this camera.

Does this camera takes great videoes and great pictures? I do not like my dive buddy's Olympus SP-320 because the quality of videoes are terrible and the pictures are pretty good, not great.

Any other pointers I need to know?

Thanks!

Never mind. I just bought Olympus 770 sw digital camera. I am loving it so far :)

opps... double post.

Any point and shoot will be limited with its underwater video capability. However I've seen DesertEagle get great shots out of the SP320. In any case, I wouldn't buy the 1000 because of its supposed better video quality. Just my opinion ... cheers,
