I THINK I know what the general classification of these are, but I don't know the species. Can anyone provide that info?

(These were found on the Miss Louise near Destin, Florida.)

Looks like a member of the Batfish family, Ogcocephaldae. Not sure about species. A good indicator of that would be where they were found.

Genus Ogcocephalus, could be one of several species. They are commonly called some variety of "batfish". You can see further details about the different species at Fishbase.org at the below link

Polka-dot Batfish. He has the short projection between the eyes and the dotted looking fins. Poor thing really is ugly. I have seen the shortnose but not this one. I used Reef Fish Identification by Paul Humann and Ned Deloach to identify this fish.
