I just wanted to notify the PSD's on the board that there was a firefighter from the Wellington Ohio Fire Department drowned while attempting a rescue of two teenagers during flooding conditions on Thursday. From information I have viewed, he was a member of the Wellington Fire Department Dive Team and was trained in Swift Water Rescue. I have copied a post to a video on the situation.

The two teenagers apparently drove around road barricades and became trapped. The Rescue Tech was attempting to move through the flood waters to their location.

He is survived by a wife and 4 children.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and team members.

I assisted these guys in the recovery of a stolen car I found in their reservoir, several years ago. What a professional, awesome bunch of guys.

Prayers for the department and for his family.
