Yes, but perhaps a little different.
In the past, we have been able to shore dive the blowholes (Aggressor ball), the Breakers, Babylon and others. Of course we got really lucky with wind and surf. We are both Boat captains and divers with advanced certs. We will be diving from Feb. 19-24,2012 and staying on the east end (Morritt's).
My questions are:
1. With the prevailing winter winds in mind, are the blowholes accessible?
2. Same question regarding the Breakers.
3. Am I correct in assuming that the shore dives around Boddentown would be a possibility this time of the year?

We will be doing some boat dives with OF. They have always been good to us when it comes to renting tanks (as long as we book some dives with them, which is only fair IMO.)

Thanks for any insight!

What are you talking about.
I love these threads.

Gonna just sit back and eat my popcorn....

Come on Testudo.
I know you have an answer.......

Waters along the south shore can be treacherous this time of year - particularly in the area of ironshore. Use extreme caution.

Our island has had two youngsters die since Christmas. They each got into trouble after jumping in the water a bit further down near Pedros Castle.

No crazies here! We spent an hour and a half assessing the breakers before we dove it (including getting info on the tides). So what you're saying, Drew, is that the south is not a possibility during the normal winter winds?
Fwiw, we didn't consider Pedro's when it was quite calm.
