So why is it when a hockey team is doing well, gets great reports from the media, cheers from their fans ,and everyone who ever heard of the sport wants to jump on the band wagon?

When they are not doing well attendance to games is down, no body mentions their name, and people even avoid the topic if you bring it up.

Geees, it's not like hockey should even be our national sport.

The Indians were playing la Crosse long before a hockey puck ever hit the ice. (and it is mere coincidence that I'm part Mohawk, that I bring this up btw).

I go to the local lacrosse games... not often, but I do go!

Though I will agree, the silent fan or the fan that only appears at play-offs is unfortunately not the exception.

I follow the Sens, from start of the season and get into some rather heated discussions with the guys over morning coffee.

We've got an Ottawa native in our purchasing department.
He's got two (both the home and away jerseys up on his office wall, as well as both of their large (I mean a meter across) penants up as well.

He's a Senator's die hard!
and he hates the Leafs.
But he'll drive back to the Corell center for a late game any day of the week during playoffs.

:dotdot: I am a Canadian first (woo hoo)..so I would love too see the two Canadian teams fight it out. But Ya gotta luv the Wild and the Ducks......both teams in theory shouldn't even be there.......Kinda makes it hard to cheer for an established team when you have those "underdogs" in the wings......
