Another thread got me thinking of all of the different Certification Cards out there. It seems like you can get a C card for almost anything now days. My question is what is the oddest C card you have?

My oddest C card is a PADI "Habitat Diver" card. It was a course I had to take to volunteer as a diver at the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

What's yours?

Padi has no shame... You can make up a course tell Padi about it and have it become a course! Now I'm not saying this is a bad thing, because its fun to learn... but it still is shameless... Now WHAT does a habitat diver course include??? Do you know if any other aquariums mandate it?

Oh, btw nothing weird here in my c cards. But locally I have seen some odd c cards! This post should be interesting :).

I've got a PADI Physically Impaired Buddy Diver specialty card, although I consider it more rare than odd. I'm certified to dive with people with disabilities.

It was like $350 and they taught us how to dive safely in the aquarium. In addition we did like 5 dives in the aquarium. This was after class work and a test. I think the C card thing for it was more of a "Put Another Dollar In" thing. Not sure about the other aquariums around. I volunteered there almost two years then. It was very interesting work.

Can you tell me more about this specialty? My partner has the 'Scuba Diver' certfication, cos he has physical disabilites that prevent him doing one of the skills (BCD remove and replace). He has to dive with a DM or instructor and I'm not either of those. Maybe if I did that specialty he could dive with me.
