Octoberfest Megadive 2012

Just bought my Megadive contributions last night and making some cookies tomorrow morning before I head up to see all you folks at MEGADIVE! I will also be bringing, as always, some Cigar City beer! However this time...it's in cans!!! (this is mostly a shout out to deepn0va and scubafool, since we're the only ones with good taste for beer ****yes I'm looking at your scorpion2012 and your bud light/bud ice***)

Dive buddy Dawn and I plan on heading up mid morning, so should get there by 1 pm! :banana:

Cardzard and Roxanne - A cooler full of water, diet and non diet sodas for the group dinner. BBQ Pork, potato salad, cheese, crackers and chips. Then for brkft, 18ct eggs, precooked bacon, sausage and ham for the omlettes. And last but not least, Glow sticks for the galaxy dive.
jeandiver - Chips, salsa, brootworst (as always)... Oh , charcoal and charcoal lighter fluid stuff. Oh , also potato salad too. (SMILE)
scorpion2012 and MontanaFL - Charcoal, chicken, tortillas, breakfast stuff.
tvtech-diver - Big pack of eggs.
divingsiren and Dawn - Desserts, water, snacks, cheese, beer...and a bottle of rum for Jenny!
scubafool and tent punking crew of 3 - You can put us down for firewood, Cook pot and propane and tent punking supplies.
Dennis and 2 guests - Cook pot and propane.

JahJahwarrior and crd_kats - Paper towels, napkins, aluminum trays, and something for the BBQ
NetDoc and mselenaous - vodka, Kahlua and stickers. And Yea we have rum, rum, and more rum. And a couple other additions to the rum tote and boiled Shrimp
joystershell and megamikey - MegaMuffins and a package of hamburglers from Costco, (think it's about one or two dozen patties?)

moondog and denisegg - Charcoal, some eggs, and dessert
MangoMan904 and Camille - Bringing the "kitchen sink". Don't laugh, he really is!
BigdogDown - Eggs, hot dog buns and condiments
DMDavid - Galaxy Juice (Glow Sticks) for a Galaxy Dive. Or other uses
Imbodie and Heather-
Brewone0to and Shelli - Costco hamburgers, buns, lots of tomatoes, and cole slaw for group dinner. For breakfast we will be bringing 18 ct eggs, cheeses, and coffee.
fisheyeview and guest - Charcoal, eggs & salsa
deepn0va - few jugs of juice and eggs. (maybe firewood)
Moonie and LuLu - Meatballs and desert
AND 1 MYSTERY GUEST????? Who could it be??????
And about 15 more who checked in on FB, but still need to check in here.

For those who always ask what to bring. Here are some ideas...
Meat items for the grill (let's keep it to Hamburgers, hotdogs, brats, and chicken breast and buns) (We're trying to keep it simple so it doesn't take forever to cook for the group) (If you have something else you were thinking about and want to cook that yourself, that's great! Some have brought friers or smokers and added to the meat items that way.)(Just anything thats easy, please)
Eggs (We never seem to have enough.)
Items for the omlettes (additional meats, peppers, mushrooms, onions, salsa, wraps, cheese, etc.)
Items for Breakfast (Juices, fruit, etc.)
Condiments (cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish, BBQ sauce etc.)
Bottled water
Side dishes (casseroles, baked beans, potato salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw, chips and dips/salsa, fruit salad, green salads w/dressing, veggie tray w/dip, etc.)
Deserts (Oh please don’t forget the deserts!)
Tiki torches and fuel (for around the fire)
Items for the rum tote It is looking a little scarce and Moonie would be disappointed. If anyone wants to sacrifice some rum to the rum tote gods, they will appreciate it. If not we will just have to have a new dance for newbies around the fire to please them.

We also need volunteers to help out during the weekend. THANKS!!!!
If we all pitch in and take a task, it makes for a fun weekend for everyone. :kiss2:

If someone needs ICE on the way in, there is a self-serve ICE machine when you leave High Springs to turn on the road to go to Ginnie.
In addition to Ginnie's Springs store and dive shop,
Air Fills: Cave Country Diving - Home in High Springs where Salvo used to be.
(US Hwy 441)
There is a Winn-Dixie in High Springs , open 7 AM to 10 PM every day.
There is also a CVS Pharmacy right next to the Hardees.
