I'm not sure this is what some of you need to do, but I'll relate a tale of woe and my solution.
First I've had 2.12 working for a while with no problems, then I had to reinstall my Vista OS and of course I reinstalled oceanlog, then I copied back the oceanlog directory from my dvd I burned, I also tried just the dat file first with no luck then the entire directory with no change.
Mistake. I got the run-time error's I've seen others here post about when trying to open my logs. To fix it I changed the RO attribute from being RO and then the software worked fine.
I don't know if it will help others, but my error message was the same run-time messages some of you have had and that fixed them. In my case I caused it by restoring from a DVD, and a reinstall did not fix it. The only fix was to remove the RO attribute.
