OceanLog incompatible with new OS

I received the OceanLog version 2.1.8 with equipment purchases last year. Now we have upgraded our computer to a Vista 64 bit system.

Naturally, OceanLog 2.1.8 will not upload.

Is there a way around this issue without having to purchase new software?
