My wife and I bought one for each of us as replacements for my Sherwood Avid and her ida Nekton 2000 Sassy. We have been doing a lot of tropical dive trips which required flying and were looking for something a little lighter and less bulky for airline travle. for the most part the Islanders ddo the job.

However I've lost two of the integrated wieght pockets (Velcro holder types) while diving. "not a good thing" one at 70' + which got a little scarry,. My buddy on that dive recognized my plight and helped me do a safetystop and cautious accent. The second time I was at only 25 ' and was able to signal OK to my partners, grab a rock and make a safe accent although feet first. The dive master on the boat had to admitt it was the first time he'd ever wittnessed such.

Good BC but use a wieght belt!! The BC pockets can be used for something else
