I have an Atom 3.0. On a bunch of very shallow dives I've been doing lately (<10'), the NDC has stayed at 199 the whole time. Anyone know why this is?

Thanks.

Can't say for certain as I don't usually do dives so shallow, so can't determine if I'd see the same on my VT 4.1. I'd imagine the max the atom will show is 199. Actual calculation is longer, just that's all it will show. It will take you a real long time to reach NDL at that depth.

Thanks. It seems that all computers have some seemingly arbitrary max NDC number they'll show. I guess Oceanics are 199. I was just curious where that number came from.
