I have a recently serviced (12 dives ago) Air XS. This weekend, my buddy and I were practicing OOA drills and after ending that dive I noticed that it was leaking slightly. After I got home I took off the cover and washed it out thoroughly. Everything looks fine and I can't see (at least from that vantage point) a reason for it not to seal. It seems like an adjustment is in order, as if it is on the verge of freeflow. There is a small nut connecting the arm; is that an adjustment point?

I'd bring it right back to the LDS that serviced it, but they are pretty far from me and I really don't like them all that much.

Any advice?

Thanks.

The 1/4" nut at the lever is an adjustment point, but since it made 12 ok dives, and it still leaks when the cover is off, we will assume that the lever height is properly adjusted. We will also assume that the IP is within spec. A small amount of "engraving" of the soft seat has probably occurred. This is quite normal. Try this: Inside the air inlet you will see the end of the adjustable orfice. There is a socket for a hex (allen) wrench. Turn the orfice a little (1/4 turn or less) clockwise. Hook it to a full tank and check for a leak. If it still leaks, turn a little more, in stages until the leak stops. Leave the cover off while you are making these adjustments. If the lever drops when you turn the adjustment, you have gone too far. After you get the leak stopped, breath off of it to be sure it still breathes ok. If the lever has dropped, or if you cannot get it stopped, or if it does not breath right when you get it stopped, it needs to be adjusted or repaired by your lds.
