Going to St Thomas to dive for the first time in the ocean, From Minnesota. Does anybody have info on visability and water temp?

Compared to what you are acustomed to the water is like a bathtub and vis is forever
I just checked world oceanic temperatures and it looks like right below 80 degrees.

The water temp is presently running around 79 degrees but will start climbing quickly. Vis is anywhere of 40 to 90 feet depending on the dive site location. Have fun!!
