I just am getting into the sport and purchased both the ocean reef ffm and ocean reef sl35tx reg. The manual states the ffm can handle nitrox up to 40%, but not to use nitrox with the sl35tx.

Ive searched and tried contacting the manufacturer with out any luck.

Can someone explain why? I thought all regs were safe for recreational nitrox up to 40%.

I see they make a m26 version of the sl35 that says nitrox compatible. Any reason i couldn't have my current one converted so i dont need a tank adapter.

Thanks and hope everyone had a good st.patricks day.
