The Newtlite 200W HMI light (one of the few Halcyon lights available) has a lamp head with switchable power 120/200W. The 5600°K light lasts for 40 mins at 200W. The major advantage of HMI over HID is the color rendering index rating of HMI is over 90, whereas HID is usually in the low 70s (which is why HMI is the chosen lighting source for lighting film sets). It isn’t cheap but with 11,000 lumens in a relatively small package, you can light up wrecks with ease. They also make 600 and 1200W versions (I can only imagine). The battery uses NiMH batteries and has a magnetic switch for extra safety. What do you think; is this a little much? :)

hmmm....40 mins is a wee bit too long for cooking lobster...usually 18mins...that's a hell of a light.
