Last year my wife and I went to St. Croix USVI and had a great time diving. The hotel was not what I expected and it took them a few days to take care of us. We would love to stay at a nice hotel and be close to a great dive spot. Any ideas on some great dive spots and 5 star hotels?

I did not think of that. Thanks.

A couple thoughts:

There's both a Westin and a Ritz Carlton on Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman. The diving is excellent. Most diveops pick up anywhere along Seven Mile Beach. The diving is farther out along there, why it's such a nice beach. And better diving on the North Wall is fairly close by. There's also a couple of really good shoredive spots.

Want to go back to the VI's? although this time the BVI's...
Peter Island Resort is one of the top 500 hotels in the world. I've never been there.

I also liked the looks of Little Dix Bay on Virgin Gorda. It's a 5 star property on one of the most beautiful bays I've seen in the Caribbean. Snorkel with turtles there but the diving is by boat. DiveBVI picks up there. Dive the Rhone, Dogs and Indians (islands) and snorkel at the Baths. It's a quiet island with no crime. We didn't stay there, just visited their bar one afternoon. http://www.littledixbay.com/

There's a new place I've been looking at on Utila - Utopia Village. But unless their website is not current, it appears parts are still under construction - the pool seems to be in the future. Seems like a nice restaurant though. It's on my short list if I go to Utila - and it is Whaleshark diving... http://www.utopiadivevillage.com/

Thanks for the information on the dive spots. They all sound great. Little Dix Bay sounds like a top notch spot. The wife and I booked a trip to Cozumel for two weeks in November then a week in the Key's. My boss will wonder what happend to me. Thanks again for your feedback.
