Northern Sea of Cortez/Midriff Islands best season?

What is the best season for diving this area (or seasons, if there are different things at different times of year)? I am interested in a liveaboard trip the first week of October from Midriff Islands down to Cabo Pulmo, but wanted some insight if another time of year might be better.

Opinions may vary, but speaking from personal experience, it's hard to beat diving in the Sea of Cortez during the fall. I've typically had exceptional days of diving in September and October. I dive there during all seasons.

October is a wonderful time of year to dive there. This year was the first time in the past six years that I was unable to make some Sea of Cortez trips in September and October. My trip to Guadalupe Island kinda ate-up my dive trip budget. I have a lot of friends who made trips in October (including one that did a live aboard from Puerto Penasco to Cabo San Lucas). All reported having amazing dive experiences.
